Create fully immersive pop-up educational tourist attractions focused on eliciting a personal commitment to ocean conservation, using state-of-the-art virtual and augmented reality exhibits.
Offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy the splendor of Bonaire, all in stunning 8K 360VR, from a perspective they might otherwise never experience.
Create an independent conservation fund for continued and expanded local environmental management projects, using a percentage of ticket revenues.

Since bringing the concept to Bonaire in early 2019, Akuario has received enthusiastic support from the four major local conservation groups (Reef Renewal, Sea Turtle Conservation, ECHO, and Wild Bird Rehab), tourism association (BONHATA), and the local government.
In early 2020 we began collecting content in Bonaire with an array of nine GoPro HERO 8s. We are now collecting 360VR videos for viewing in stunning 8K resolution.
Three potential viable locations for a full-scale facility have been identified, all with their own pros and cons, and with meaningful collaboration with local Bonaireans underway.
JONG BONAIRE VIDEOGRAPHY CHALLENGE: BUNITA BONEIRU
In July 2021 Akuario Bonaire donated five GoPro HERO8 cameras and numerous underwater accessories to Jong Bonaire. This will offer local children the chance to practice nature videography and post-production editing skills, all while learning more about the wondrous natural environment.
